Fine Dining in the Alt-Juffing parlour

Enjoy a gourmet dinner and discover old things in a new way.

The name "Alt Juffing" is a reminiscence of the parlour in the former Juffing inn and invites you to travel through time. Things almost forgotten experience a culinary renaissance and traditional recipes are newly interpreted. We open our Alt Juffing parlour for guests who want to spend a sensual evening in our house.

Balance, fine dining and hospitality at the Juffing in Thiersee

You choose between a vegetarian "Flora" dinner and the classic "Fauna" dinner. Flora is the goddess of the blossoms and of spring while Fauna is venerated as the goddess of fertility and the fields. Both complement each other to a wonderful balance. Our cooks work with gentle preparation methods which guarantee an aromatic taste in exciting combinations. Therefore, we only use products of the highest quality, if possible organic and produced in Austria and in the neighbouring Bavaria or South Tyrol.

About the team

The fine dining cuisine in the Alt-Juffing parlour is opened in spring 2021 under the leadership of Manuel Schratl.

Together with an ambitious team, the native of Salzburg shows his love for the profession in a modern way. The appreciation of the seasons, the use of regional products and the originality on the plate are of special importance to him.

Our tip for hotel guests:

Of course, you can also dine in the Alt Juffing parlour during your holidays in the gourmet hotel in Tyrol for an extra fee of € 45.- ("Flora" dinner) or € 55.- ("Fauna" dinner). Tables can be reserved for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Manuel Schratl and sommelier Jennifer Schacht very much look forward to your reservation.

Valuable handicraft from the producer to the cook

The memo board in our kitchen shows how the dish should be arranged and contains information about producers and products. Together with our chef we are constantly searching for new forgotten taste experiences. Our aim is the development of a stable network of producers in the Tyrolean Unterland. 

Opening hours

Our house's art of cooking is not only reserved to our hotel guests. Also external guests can enjoy in our Alt Juffing parlour on three days a week upon reservation until 1.00 pm.
