Slope fun in the Thierseetal

Do you feel like vintage skiing like in the old days? The gigantic ski regions are too busy, too loud and too bombastic for you? Then Hinterthiersee is the place for you.

View of Thierseetal in winter
Skiing like in the old days

Slowed down & familiar

In the Thierseetal you will find two tiny lifts, both very snow-safe thanks to snow machines. Right opposite of the hotel the small, well-groomed Tiroline ski region will attract you with one single T-bar lift, the Haltjochlift. Without traffic jam on your way, long waiting times at the lift or overcrowded gondolas. Perfect for a sporty, very short timeout on the slope - and with prices like in the old days: Three hours on the boards only cost 15 euro. Enjoy two or three quick turns - also for yourself - and then head to the afternoon buffet and to the Juffing spa. A winter holiday for occasional skiers and perfect for learning how to ski and training right in the village.

Top ski regions - 30 minutes away

You would like to spend a ski day full of variety? Thanks to the connection to Austria's biggest connected ski region, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, and the near ski paradise Sudelfeld, nothing will keep you from spending a delightful ski day.

SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental

The region around Kufstein is the gate to the "SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental", the biggest connected ski region in Austria (698 m to 1829 m above sea level). 90 modern cable cars and lifts, 4 fun parks & a Funny Bird Slope, 284 km of pistes, 180 of which can be artificially snowed with 1,400 snow machines, 134 km easy - 129 km moderate - 17 km difficult, will guarantee ideal conditions. From the hotel you will reach the valley stations Scheffau and Söll in about 30 minutes. In Söll, the lifts will invite you to go night-skiing from 6.30 to 9.45 pm (Wednesday to Saturday).

For your information: Even in the current winter season there is a free ski bus from Hinterthiersee to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental (with one change to the ski bus line 1 in Kufstein, bus stop "FMZ").

Sudelfeld ski area

Natural - sporty - very close. The open and wide meadow slopes in front of an impressive mountain scenery will offer all conditions for a varied ski region (800 m - 1,563 m above sea level). The 14 lifts, 5 of them chair lifts, will take you to pistes that are carved into the natural topographic of the traditional alp region. In the relatively treeless terrain there are 80 km of prepared slopes from easy to difficult and highly modern 8- and 6-chair lifts for pure ski fun. You can reach the ski region by car via Bayrischzell in 25 minutes.

Ski holidays on the slopes or off them going ski touring or winter hiking and snowshoeing, a trip to the ice skating rink or leisurely cross-country skiing or tobogganing in the Tyrolean mountains:

In the romantic Thierseetal in Tyrol, the clocks go a little bit more slowly and every winter lover will find their pleasure.
