For when something goes wrong.

To the current situation

Dear guests,

the health of all of us is the highest priority. Therefore, our hotel has been closed since 16 March 2020. We take care of all your requests in this exceptional situation. If you have any questions concerning bookings or cancellations you can reach us by phone from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm.

At the moment we do not know how long the governmental shutdown will last. Current information about a reopening can be found on our website, Facebook and Instagram as soon as the authorities can clearly see what is right for all of us.

In order to fulfill the trust in our family and to avoid losing 100% of the summer bookings, there are new down payment and cancellation conditions with maximal flexibility for all who have booked with us:

  • All bookings for the months April, May, June and July 2020 can be cancelled up to one day before arrival.
  • All down payments are handled as follows: Do not transfer any new down payments right now. We will of course not urge any down payments and the bookings will be preserved as optional reservations. Due to the suspension of the cancellation fees you can be sure that you can withdraw from your accommodation contract anytime, also in volatile times.

We do not under any circumstances want to lose you as our guests and ask for your trust so that we can start the summer season as fast as possible, healthy and full of excitement.

COVID-19 causes a constantly changing news situation from the viewpoint of public health, but we do our best to always keep you informed and to support you. Stay healthy and confident. Look well after yourselves and your families. With the best wishes for your health we remain from Hinterthiersee.

Something unexpected can always come up before your arrival (please inform us in writing if you cannot make your holiday as planned).

First and foremost we will make every effort to re-let the rooms so that you will not be charged a cancellation fee. In the event of us being unable to re-let the room we are partners with European Travel Insurance.

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. You can take out your travel cancellation insurance online by going directly to www.europaeische.at and paying online with your credit card.

 If you would rather pay by bank transfer just let us know, and we will send you the bank necessary payment slip by post or fax. You can also download the payment slip online as a PDF. Please click here .

In all three cases our hotel number is provided for the insurance company to know whom to attribute the insurance to, so you do not have to worry about the proper allocation of your payment.

  • up to 30 days before your check in date no charge
  • up to 14 days before your date of arrival 50 % of ¾ board rate
  • within 13 days of your arrival date 70 % of ¾ board rate
  • Late arrival/early departure 80 % of ¾ board rate
